Email Reports
Email Reports are available in text, CSV (weekly only), and PDF formats and are often used for presentations and reviewing statistics and performance. They have standard timelines, including daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly. Setting-up Email Reports is subdivided into creating Global Report or Individual device report.
Real-time Reports
Real-time reports are available via Real-time Dashboards using global unique identifier (GUID) URLs and XML feed formats and often used to see the live status of various Devices and Tasks (for example on a shared screen within a network operations center (NOC), or on an individual smartphone). The information in real-time reports is available for display at a high-level, such as an average aggregated into broad time-lines (day, week, month, year), or if needed, in highly detailed, drill-down views (example, an individual webpage element response time). The interface for setting-up Real-time Dashboards starts with the menu Reports > Shareable Panels or Reports > Shareable Report Cards. Setting-up the XML feed starts with the menu Reports > Real-Time XML Feed.
In addition use Realtime Feed (Reports > Realtime Feed) to access a real-time log of monitoring sessions that are executed in your account.
Configurable Reports
Configurable reports are customizable and interactive and ideal for investigating information. Of course, there are several ways to set-up Configurable reports depending on the need and goal for the reports.
Online Report is interactive drill-down reports and graphs for a specific device. Online Report can be found under Reports > Online Reporting or from the device action menu accessed by clicking the related action button on the Device Manager page.
Historical Reports – a listing and access to previous Executive and Overall Summary Reports. Go to Reports > Email Report History to start with the report list.
Сonfigurable reports are highly detailed and can be customized to deliver different time-frames (from a single instance of monitoring to monitoring trends involving millions of monitoring instances over a span of years) as needed, as precisely as by-the-minute. Both Real-time and Configurable reports also have significant drill-down capabilities, including the capability of drilling beyond individual instances of monitoring to specific aspects of individual page element performance (such as DNS lookup time, download time, SSL time, etc.).
Trending is also provided around key performance measures, including Response Time and other metrics for Scheduled, Real-time, and Configurable reports. Trend data can be summarized via averaging (example, average response time for all monitoring Agents, for a specific Device) and can also be viewed at a highly detailed level, such as the trend of a specific webpage element’s load time during the course of one day. Each report can be further customized using a variety of filters. Filters can be applied to specify Report data based on date, time-frame, location of a monitoring agent, a monitoring success/or a monitoring error, and more. The up or down status of a Device can also be used to generate a Configurable report. The up or down status of a report is determined via the Uptime/Downtime Calculation.
Additionally, users can also use the detailed raw data within the XML feed, or CSV formats to develop their own reports. The Technical Support team at Dotcom-Monitor can also provide as-needed customized reports not offered in the standard interface.
BrowserView and UserView only Reports:
- Waterfall Charts – interactive graphic of page object render speed in a browser.
- Performance Report – a listing of the top 10% of the slowest and fastest rendering page objects.
- “Hosts” Report – a listing of all hosting (including third-party hosts) rendering objects to a page.
- Page Object Render Speed Trend Report – displays individual page object render speeds over time.
Userview only reports:
- Video Capture synced with a Waterfall Chart – web application page object speed and errors.
