In the device setting, under the Up&Down Filters tab, you can specify how monitoring responses are processed by Dotcom-Monitor and displayed in the reports. Please see the How Filters Works article to learn how Dotcom-Monitor applies filters in the monitoring process.

By default, the Default Filter is applied to all new devices. This filter requires that a monitoring error is detected by at least two monitoring agent locations before an alert is generated in the system and an alert notification is sent. This helps to minimize false alarms caused by minor network issues.

To create a new filter or to change filtering rules for an existing filter, click Manage Filters and follow guidelines of the Configuring Filters article of our Knowledge Base.

Only one filter can be assigned to a monitoring device.
